Starting in Llanberis, we will hike our way alongside the famous Mountain Railway up to the summit (1,085m) of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) via the classic Llanberis path, which is the easiest but longest path up Snowdon!!

Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions BOOKING Places on our events can only be confirmed by completing the following: • A Health and Consent Form & payment in full, which includes non-refundable £10.00 deposit All balances must be paid 3 weeks prior to the event/course. CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER All cancellations must be in writing and accepted by Pioneer Mountaineering. The following options apply: • You can transfer the booking to a later event/course (if the event costs more than we will require the difference) • Deposits are non-refundable. • Full refund of the total course fee (excluding the deposit) if cancellation is made prior to the 3 week deadline. CANCELLATION BY THE COMPANY Pioneer Mountaineering must have a minimum of 4 people in order to commence (unless a private booking is made). Pioneer Mountaineering will refund any monies received in full if the minimum numbers are not achieved. Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that courses/activities run, the company will notify the customer of cancellation as soon as possible where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and/or unsuitable conditions for the course/event. Pioneer Mountaineering will notify the customer of cancellation no less than three days prior to the start of the course. In the event of cancellation customers will be offered the choice of the following options: • Full refund of costs • Transfer of booking PARTICIPATION STATEMENT The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) participation statement must be understood and accepted. ‘The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions’. Please inform staff if you are not comfortable with any of your programmed activities. Pioneer Mountaineering has clear obligations and responsibilities and we require participants to contribute to their own and each other’s safety by following the instructions of our staff. Acknowledging these risks in no way compromises your legal rights, nor does it release Pioneer Mountaineering from any of its obligations towards you.
